History

MSV Düsseldorf 1995 e.V. has only existed in its current form since 2015. Prior to this, MSV Hilal was founded in 1995. The association was originally founded by second-generation Moroccans with a history of immigration. They wanted to have a common place to socialise. The idea was to found a first senior team to have fun together on the football pitch. At that time, no one was thinking about setting up a youth section. The club was therefore founded by friends. MSV Hilal played its home games at ESV Blau-Weiß in Flingern. The first senior team was even promoted to the Kreisliga A. Despite the brief success, the team was relegated straight back to the Kreisliga B and disappeared into insignificance for several years.

Since 2003, MSV Hilal has played its home games at the DJK Sparta Bilk pitch. They remained in the Kreisliga B for several years. It was only after MSV Hilal moved to the DSC 99 pitch on Windscheidstrasse that the conditions gradually improved. During this period, a new board was elected, which was particularly active in the area of sponsorship. The club rose from the Kreisliga B to the Bezirksliga within two years.

The years between 2008-2010 were very successful. The board and the entire club worked continuously on the vision of building a club with a future and an entire youth programme.

At the same time, FC Maroc was founded in 2009. This club was also founded by Moroccans with a history of immigration.

The club achieved three successive promotions in quick succession. Both clubs had thus established themselves in Düsseldorf football.

The decision was therefore made to merge the organisation in 2015. This was an important step, as they were now able to join forces. A youth section was gradually established. It started with the older age groups. The youth department quickly managed to establish all youth teams from Bambini to A-Youth.

The number of members increases. MSV Düsseldorf 1995 currently has around 243 members. The first senior team won the championship in the Landesliga and played in the Oberliga during the 2022/2023 season. In the same season, the U19, U17 and U15 youth teams were represented in the performance classes at the same time for the first time. MSV Düsseldorf 1995 trains and plays at the district sports centre at Heidelberger Straße 75 in Düsseldorf.
